If you have a Sam's club membership, try there. I was able to order online with in-store pickup. I ordered yesterday, and picked it up today.
This was at Chesapeake, VA. My store received 8, and she told me they had 7 internet orders.

Ordered on 5/21/2008 for in-store pickup. Order status is: IN-PROCESS. I'm sure the local store has received several shipments by now. I have sent an email to Sam's Club asking what the deal is. More as it develops.
I was at Target in Frisco TX (West Frisco this a.m.) overheard meeting that they will be available in the July 20 circular. Don't know how many.
Can anyone confirm that the Wii Fit does not work on carpet?
it depends on how "shaggy" your carpet is. They include some small extenders to help the main board go above the carpet. But if you have really shaggy carpet, they may not be enough. If that's the case, a piece of wood placed under the balance board should do it.
OK, I got tired of the stores only getting in one or two at a time and eBay going for sky high prices, and thought what about Criagslist.org? Got me one, brand new for $115. I know it's a little extra, and this site is all about saving money, but I've been waiting since May to score one and this was my opportunity.

Thanks a bunch worked for me, Found out which stores here had them and wife picked 2 up. Not even a mile from my house.
With the price of gas a single trip to a store is a pain if you can't be sure of stock.
I just bought one from Costco in Sterling,Virginia (Washington DC metro area). They have like 300 of them stacked near the Books area.
