Hi everyone, this is my first post so please go easy.

Basically I am trying to get the best Deal on a Dell Notebook and was wonder what the best way to to about it was. I have checked Dell Home, Small Business, and MPP and it seems like I get a different price. What I am looking for is a 1525 with Sea Sky Design, 3 GB of RAM, 2.0 GHZ Core 2 Duo, and 250 GB Hard Drive.

Currently the best deal I have found is $624 using the Dell.com/saveinaug deal. I was wondering if I could do better. I really don't mind jumping through a few hoops.

I would suggest finding the best Dell deal in Hot Deals, then customizing it to what you need.

I attempted to use the hot deal section, the price is approx $100 more than the lowest price I have found.

PmonkeyDishwasher really gave the best advice here. You just have to be patient and/or flexible.

My only addition would be that small business usually has better deals than home, EPP isn't what it used to be, and their outlet store has some flaming bargains from time to time - but you have to be ready to jump on THAT unit when you see it.

Where I am located, all schools (K-12 and college) are under way for fall. The deals will taper off, and those who didn't get their needed laptop can expect to pay more shortly.
