I am in the market for a 58" to 62" flat panel. I have a brightly lit room I want to put it in' however I probably will put some blackout curtains in will be sitting about 13 Feet away its a large room.

I currently have a 50" Panasonic 720p Plasma in my bedroom that I am thrilled with. I am looking to step up to 1080p for the big boy though. I am thinking about the Panasonic 58" Plasma but LCD's are not out of the question.

I am looking for quality of picture is most important with no blockiness or pixelation. Any recommendations out there? I am willing to wait until black friday if anyone thinks I can get a deal.

My research is a little old but my understanding was that for lcd you don't want to go over 42 inches. Research the differences and go from there. As far as LCD tvs go, the sharp Aquos are one of the best. I believe panasonic and pioneer do not make lcds. Good luck
