good deal...but not future proof?

HDD Compatible: All 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD upto 1TB (1,000GB)

Edit: Looks like Newegg has great reviews and both egg and thermaltake say the drive supports up to 2TB =D

dunno why it says up to 1TB. might be an older posting. The thermaltake website indicates up to 2gb (but that might be because there aren't any larger drives out there...with whatever restrictions that our comps have with maxing at 2gb for the time being).

I have one of these and has been very useful for backing up data, music, and movies. wish it was this price when i picked it up a few months ago...

btw, highly recommend that you use the esata part if your comp is capable, because backing up 1tb of iso's via usb will take hours...

This deal was usually $15 AR, no? Or was it always $20 AR...

Not for the eSATA + USB model. $20 AR shipped is the lowest. This is one of the must have tools in your collection. If you have multiple PCs or fixes them? You could probably do without one of your screwdrivers.

Rebate says, valid only for purchases at Channel Wide.

Is this a potential problem, or is this another name for the site/company?

I can't be 100% sure, but I'm willing to wager that Channel Wide means.....the entire sales channel, meaning anyone selling it.

ugh I *JUST* ordered one of these from zipzoomfly yesterday for 5 dollars more

BEWARE of ambiguous zipzoomfly rebate requirements. Just a word of caution, they often don't include all the required labels / stickers in the box to meet all the rebate submission requirements. SO FAIR WARNING to you-- you're definitely taking your chances on a zipzoomfly.com purchase w/rebate.

I pulled the trigger on a DVD drive w/$15 rebate last week from ZZF... and when it arrived today I noticed that the rebate requires BOTH a "UPC bar code" as well as a "product label sticker". There is only a UPC bar code in the box. No product label sticker. At least none that is removable w/o destroying the sticker completely. Called their customer service dept who assured me that I don't need the missing sticker to get the rebate, but it's disconcerting to be mailing in an incomplete rebate w/hopes that the rebate house will honor it. So fair warning to you-- you're definitely taking your chances on a zipzoomfly.com rebate.

I've used them before years ago for many different components. I'm not too worried (if I had to I'll just call up and hassle them over the phone), just sad I didn't see the ewiz deal

Anyone buy from ewiz from the east coast?
Shipping from Newegg is pretty good but zipzoomfly takes forever...

OS Compatible: Windows Vista/ XP/ 2003/ 2000/ NT/ 98/ 95.....

Sata on Win 95/98/NT? Doesn't make sense.
LOL

It conects to the PC with either USB or eSATA so it works with older Windows (USB). Of course Win95 will need drivers and I shudder to think about using a HD over USB1.

Thanks, I've been waiting for this to drop back to $20. In for 1!

Yep, their shipping is fine. ZZF shipping is awesome for me in MA.

Thanks, OP! Been wanting one of these for a while now and finally the price is right.

A Newegg review confirmed it works fine with the WD HD TV Media Player (I know that's what I'm gonna be using it for)

Guess I won't be getting one! S-O-S, can't figure out how to us USPS Priority to Alaska. Dangit.
