Here's an example, (and I *KNOW* I'm sticking my neck out here), but there are 'Forum-specific / FuseTalk TAGS' for:

• Bullet Lists
  
• Numbered Lists
  
• LINKs
  
• ...etc...

Why don't 'seemingly otherwise intelligent' folks bother to utilize these 'Forum-features'?

Is it:

1. Ignorance (i.e. unaware of their existence)
   
2. Laziness
   
3. Time-constraints
   
4. Other...

NOTE to zubba: This reply is NOT addressed at you - just your TYPE of post. AND, this isn't the WORST example - just the first that I found while reading some 'interesting' threads tonight.

Since Acer bought Gateway and Gateway owned E-Machines, you can bet E-Machines has one of the worst failure rates as well. One should not be confused by the upfront cost alone. It's like buying a cheap printer, only to realize after the fact how expensive the ink cartridges are and that generic ink cartridges are not available.

Okay, I am sure I am going to get my head knocked off for asking ...

But, why are you making such a big deal of formatting and such (this thread and the others on various formatting). I had to re-read your thread on the list issues a few times before I understood what exactly you were asking about there.

I mean, if something is obviously broken, then let the staff know. I've mentioned some trivial things too (like extra spacing inserted with quotes, etc.). But, you seem to be like completely upset (like, can't sleep at night) over these formatting issues.

Here are some reasons:
*. The quick reply doesn't have bullet buttons.
@. The buttons on the full featured reply take more effort.
^. And who really wants to type in formatting commands?
