How it works in terms of paying the bills? Does it work just like a regular checking account which has the Routing/Transit Number, and account number?
Thanks

no interest, there is a monthly minimum balance fee, but you can avoid that fee by having a direct payroll deposit done monthly. No amount restrictions but they said paypal/ing/etc don't apply.

Do you have a link that shows Paypal is not allowed as a direct deposit?

Besides paypal, anyone knows if ING is considered as direct deposit?
ING works for Etrade and BoA.

I canceled a checking account a month ago, which I got a free dvd player after like 7 months waiting and have no other citi bank accounts.
My reading of their terms means I am no longer eligible for there promos unless I move. Anyone have any info to the contrary as I would like to sign up for this?
When I did the 2 payments for the above mentioned DVD player promo I just mailed a check to my parents and myself for a $1 at my home address from their online bill pay.

Not true:
If you have Direct Deposit or you maintain a combined average balance of $1,500, you can avoid the fee!

Considering their regular promos get you $150, this deal doesn't seem worthwhile if you're NOT going to do direct deposit. You'll have to leave the $1,500 in there more than a year just to gain $50 more than the usual reward.

Not for exising or previous customers - That would exclude most of the world (deliberately exagerated) But seriously, the can't be too many people who have not already opened accounts under other promos.

Oh, and another question. The link from the original post is of some bridgetrack.com site. Who are they and how are they related to Citibank? Is there a direct link from Citibank's web site for the same promotion? I am just asking to be safe.
Just got the same offer today with code CDB7 which says it's good until 12/31/04.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that both deals are for the same product: the Citi EZ Checking Account. Regardless of the deal, you'll need to keep a $1500 combined average balance OR have direct deposit in order to waive the fees. The only difference between the deals is one gives you $150 relatively soon and the other gives you $100 soon and another $100 later.

You can directly enter the promotion codes into the following website: offer.citibank.com. The CDB7 code now works online.
Also, for those concerned about tying up $1500 for this long in order to avoid the fees, the $1500 minimum is a combined average. This means you can keep all or part of it in certain other Citi products, including checking, savings, money market accounts and CDs.
