I Hate Bank of America Banner

This banner, reading "I Hate Bank of America" sits directly across the street from my local Bank of America branch and has been there at least since last year. It's visible from the branch. And no, I didn't do it!

UPDATE:

This guy has His Own Web Page and MySpace Page, and has even been on the Glen Beck Show and the NBC 10 News.

So?

ha ha ha... NOT.

If that was my banner it would read "I hate bad photoshops."

or putting masking tape in a reverse loop can't hold this sign up

If he photoshopped it, he changed lettering. That shadowing and wrinkling is not something you would think to fake when just putting a joke together...

Of course, I echo the "so..."

The funny thing is that the people who hate BoA are just advertising the fact they have very little or they got in some sort of trouble by playing with other peoples money. If you have money BoA is one of the best banks to deal with

I've never understood the hatred some people have for BoA. As long as you're careful with minimum balances their fees aren't an issue, and their ATMs & online banking are great. I probably wouldn't go there for a mortgage, but for everyday banking they've never given me any trouble.

I've seen this sign. I'm in Philadelphia. It's legit.

???

I have money. I'm a BofA customer. I dislike BofA.

I live in the boonies and they're the only bank with a decent national presence within ~30 miles of my home, so I'm kind of stuck with them.

Even for mortgages they can be pretty decent. Especially HELOCs. They had no problem giving me a HELOC on an investment property at prime - 25bps, with a credit limit more than the cost of the house (supposedly 80% LTV but it was an automatic appraisal).

So far, knock on wood, I haven't had a single problem with them and their branches are very convenient to boot.

I don't like them either, but I make a few hundred dollars a year from them in perks. Well, I guess I like them a little... what's not to like about free money?

I understand why people hare them; they're usurers.

I like Bank of America because I've reverse-usurered them out of over $1000 in the last year and a half.

April called, it wants its "news" story back.

To the poster a few posts above:

When I have to wait 75 minutes on the phone to speak to a rep about reseting my password, because their website 'cannot process this request now'...it gives me one more reason to hate BoA.

When I purchase a house and transfer funds to my MM Account, and it takes them 2 months to clear the funds, while other banks are able to process a higher amount in less than one month, it gives me one more reason to hate BoA.

Personally, I believe that their CC's are good, however I do not like banking with them.

Just my .02

It would help you a lot to have other banks around, BofA will fight for you then.

BoA is great for me, don't know what people are complaining about. They:

- Give me two fee-free checking accounts that I can keep fee-free as long as I direct-deposit a small percentage of my paycheck in them
- Routinely solicit me to give me tens of thousands of dollars at 0-2% interest rates for minimal BT fees
- Deposit the above money for me in my checking account without requiring any kind of other account to BT, from which I can ACH the money anywhere I choose to do so
- Allow me to use their extremely extensive ATM network for withdrawals and (especially) deposits, paying their clerks to run around all day processing small deposits for me for almost no benefit to BoA
- Allow me to use them as an AOR Gateway to deposit funds then ACH them to other accounts
- Never give me customer service issues, as far as I can tell never make mistakes either

And all of this in exchange for keeping generally a few hundred dollars in two checking accounts and making a modest direct deposit.

I don't bank with BOA, but based on what people have told me, I will keep it that way.
