Edit: As mentioned below, use the KOTC promotion. Note with KOTC ... if offered, it is a SEPARATE promotion box (which actually says KOTC next to it). You can get the $95 seats for $60. At the box office, you have to buy four tickets when using this promotion, but with Ticketmaster Online, you should be able to buy alternate quantities.

All other discounts appear to be dead (but you can always try 5WINTER, 6WINTER, and 7WINTER ... I've seen them all).
End of edit.

EDIT: As TAF mentions below ... use 5WINTER to get actually 50% off! (Just received a new email with this discount ... it is for those who have previously seen Wicked ... but there does not actually seem to be anywhere to track it, so it should work for anyone.) End of edit.

Enjoy Wicked on a weeknight in January and February with a 50 percent discount on orchestra seats by entering code 7WINTER.* (See below ... at this point with Ticketmaster, the discount is more like 40%.)

Tickets at 213-365-3500 or online at www.Ticketmaster.com. For more information and ticket availability, go to www.wickedthemusical.com/la.

*Offer is good for performances Tuesday - Friday from January 8 - February 29. Subject to availability. Not valid on February 14.

Orchestra Seats were usually $98, and are listed as this on the official site and the Pantages site. But with Ticketmaster, it looks like ticket prices have dropped to $95.50 (for standard full price). And Ticketmaster is actually not giving 50% off (as per the deal) ... the tickets are coming up as $57.50. But you can get some decent seats (say around row R or farther back, just left or right of center).

The discount is, of course, off of the base price. You will add building charges, convenience charges, and order charges with Ticketmaster. I was able to use the last code (FAMILY, for the KOTC promotion) at the actual Pantages Box Office and get the deal without paying Ticketmaster charges (I did have to buy 4 tickets, though), but YMMV.

Thanks OP! My sister in LA has been trying to get tickets for Wicked with no luck. Hope this helps her.

BTW - can you provide a little more info on the KOTC promotion code? What is/was the promotion and is it still valid? Also, did you call the theater box office to use the code or go there in person to make the purchase?
TIA

This has been going on since the beginning of the new year. I believe it is good until availability runs out. It is done online at Ticketmaster with the code provided.

From my order for a Friday night:

Seat location: section ORCHLC, row S, seats 303-304
Total Charge: US $ 122.50

the "Kids Off the Couch" (KOTC) promotion is here somewhere on the Fatwallet forums ... but I'm not good with the links.

It is good through Feb. 10th, on Tu, We, Th, and Su, the $98 tickets are $60 (before all of the extra fees). You are supposed to have to buy 4, but on Ticketmaster, it looks like you can buy any number. At the box office, they made me buy 4 (I actually only wanted three, but we figured we could find someone else to go). However, as far as I can tell, these are the SAME seats you can get now for $57.50 with the code above and no limit (don't need to buy 4) on tickets. Might help if you are looking to go Sunday. For ths promo, on Ticketmaster, there is an entireley SEPARATE promo box labeled "KOTC" (if it is not there, they are not offering that promotion for that show). You have to enter "FAMILY" to get the discount. I went in person to the box office ot get the discount.

The code WAND also sometimes works to get 25% off (might be useful if you wanted to go on Saturday ... but I'm not sure it works on Saturdays), but I have rarely found it useful (especially with the other codes).

My brother and his sister saw this in St. Louis over Christmas Break, and thought it was WONDERFUL. Great deal at regular price, at 40% off it's a great deal!

Thanks everyone for the help. I saw this at the Kennedy Center in DC and loved it. My sister has had trouble getting availability in LA but maybe this will help or perhaps some seats have opened up.

So is it a great deal?

Saw this in NYC last May and it was EXCELLENT. Paid a lot more than these prices as it was all sold out and had to buy from a third party seller (bleh).

Highly recommended especially at these prices!

Thank you so much OP! I've been wanting to go see this for such a long time. I got 2 tickets for a late Valentine's celebration on Feb. 26 for a total of $142.50 (damn convenience charges).

greg0ire: How did you get yours to be only $122.50?

The sale was 50% and better seats too. I sacrificed 10th row center for row s just off the center for a friday. Don't forget all of the Ticketmaster fees totaling the $122.

I recommend this show for women who want to drag their guys along. I do not like going to most productions but this one was actually pretty cool. Saw it a couple of months ago in Chicago at the Oriental theater.

GregOire - It looks to me like you were able to use the same code and actually get the 50% off that was advertised in the deal I read about. For some reason, the prices have gone up $10/ticket. I don't know why (That's why in the original title I put 40% (?)).

I wonder if this means that, for many shows, the 50% off tickets are gone. They are still giving a discount, though.

I tried looking at a few dates, and they do seem to be offering what were the $98 tickets for $57.50 (which is not the 50% off in the deal ... but is a discount). When I checked for seats without the discount, all that came up were seats that were far left or far right of center, whereas using the discount code gave seats that were just right or left of center.

No idea why the discount changed.

Try the Feb. 29th show. If you get it, come by and say hi. You know where I am sitting.

Thank you, I have been wanting to get tickets for months, finally sprung for them. Those fees were a killer though... facility charge, convenience charge, order processing fee, delivery fee (for me to print tickets myself!!!) What a business Ticketmaster has.

Great find, OP! In for 2. Too bad Ticketmaster charges an arm and a leg in service fees (a total of $13.75 per person!!). Oh well, can't complain since the tix were half off.

Dang, I tried, but I don't think any of these codes work for 1/2 off in Chicago, but I'm not surprised they don't work.

Anyone have a discount code for Chi-town by chance?
