For those of you that missed it earlier ... HURRY >>>> CC has the $9.99 PC version of Portal deal back on the table! A great game ... you can purchase online if it's available in your area then choose in-store pickup to avoid shipping ... unless of course you aren't heading out shopping soon anyway or it just plain cost ya more in gas that is to get to CC!!!

Choose instore pickup and get another 10% off using code B3ATJFSAUK during checkout! [edit 10/05]

[Edit 09/21/08: Also get it for $9.99 at Bestbuy]

I was in my local CC store (Montgomeryville, PA) picking up my TaxCut 2007 online order, and decided to browse around the store, where I eventually discovered the PC DVD Portal game had an instant $10 off bringing the price down to $9.99!!! The store had about 5 still on the shelf.

Thought this was a good price on a very unique & fun game. A nice way to take a break from traditional FPS but still get to shoot as well as challenge the mind a little solving the ways to escape the different puzzling levels! This is a game that comes in the infamous Orange Box which also contains Half Life 2, HL2:Episodes 1&2, & Team Fortress 2. If you don't have or want the Orange Box, then Portal is still selling for $19.99 most everywhere I looked, so $9.99 is a great value, but read on as for a few lucky folks can get it for as low as $4.99!!!

Don't forget these while they last to get the $4.99 price!!!
The cool timing for this deal is that there are still some PriceGrabber $5 review bonuses left for some lucky people for this PC DVD game edition, bringing the price down to $4.99!!!! Awesome, I was looking at getting this game for a while now after seeing it on my nephew's XBox 360, but didn't want to spend the big money on the Orange Box nor the higher prices for this stand-alone Portal game, so this was the right time to purchase this game IMO!!!

Purchase is available for the $9.99 online, but shipping charges apply unless you spend more than $24! So order online and do an in-store pickup. Don't forget about the 2% Circuit City FatCash back too!!

CircuitCity - Portal PC DVD - $9.99

PriceGrabber $5.00 review bonus for Portal !!! (first 25 PG members to request it, then they are GONE!)

Great Game.

Steam/Valve missed it on this one. They were blinded by their Orange Box goals and did not take Portal to it's full potential. I believe Portal was supposed to originally be a standalone game. Instead they made it a 4 hour game that is a value added extra to another product. Portal was actually advertised more before it was part of the Orange box.

It was created by Digipen Students that Valve recuited.

It's length while short, is great, Portal was always part of Orange Box [Or if more remember Black Box] anyway.

If your play Half-Life EP2 you'll see a large connection to Portal that set it up for the third EP.

Yahtzee's Review (which states Portal basically very true)

Question: when I go to the link, I still see the price as $19.99. It's still that price when I add it to the cart.

I'd really like to get in on this, since I've heard that it's a great game. But I don't have a CC in my area anymore. I'd totally be willing to pay the $2 shipping, though, if I could get it for the $9.99 price.

So, what am I doing wrong? (The price isn't tied to the tax software or something, is it?)

Edit: whoops, satishny beat me to asking.

Great game, great price, glad I got in on it when I did if it's dead now. I even paid for the $1.99 shipping as my CC was OOS. My wife loves this game.

Is Portal a standalone game? The download for the map pack says I need Half Life 2.
