Free museum visit first weekend of every month starting in May 2008.

Update News -- Details of Museum on Us

Message edited by: harry411 on 2008-04-26 16:58:23 CDT

This list in the first post is from 2007. The 2008 list is not available yet and may not include the same locations.

Fine print on details page of site specifies "Free admission limited to cardholder at participating institution." so it may not include guest as in the past.

I believe you just need to show your bofa card to get in.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up. My youngest was too young last year, but this year, he'll truly enjoy the museums.

Different from last year: "starting this May, you can visit your favorite museum for free on the first weekend of every month". Not the whole May 2008, but perhaps better.

Offer states:

Now bigger and better than ever

Starting this May, you can visit your favorite museum for free on the first weekend of every month. With over 70 museums nationwide, there’s one near you. So check back soon–new program details will be available by the end of April.

How do you take advantage of the program? Do you need to be a customer of Bank of America?
Thank you.

Isn't this the same bank that was offering bank accounts without a social security requirement to get the illegal aliens to put their money in?

And before I see anyone complaining, 2 of the best NY museums (the Metropolitan and the Natural History) only have a "suggested" ticket anyway, so you don't need any promotion for them.
In any event, thanks OP!

While this is the case, I've had a few friends who have been harassed to make some payment (the staff even specified a preferred minimum)...

which became too expensive ($20) when they reopened.

Hello? From that list, representing 10 states in the northeast plus California?
Perhaps they should change their name to Bank of Perks for New England and California.

Yourself and one guest. You have to show a Bank of America or MBNA credit or debit card.

The list of museums for this year hasn't been announced yet, but it will probably include a good selection on the east and west coasts.
