you also forgot that you can get $10 off with new google check out acct. Though with everything going digital, I am not sure how *great* this product is. It does pick-up FM reception, so might be alright to boost your radio reception.

41 elements is small to mid. Luke warm at best.

An "old" analog antenna will work fine with digital signals as long as it has UHF. Digital over the air HD uses the same UHF frequencies to transmit the signal. My "old" UHF/VHF antenna works fine with my ATSC HD tuner on my LCD TV......

I think there's a typo on the Buy.com website. Under product description it says "51 element". A quick Google search for the model number pulls up 51 element antennas.

The price doesn't look that great, but the free shipping makes it decent.

$44 shipped is an ok price, but antennas are very much YMMV. Lots of experimenting with position, height amps etc. It's best to be able to return the antenna if it does not work with your location.

With broadcast going all digital next year, it's good to check if your local stations are going to be on UHF, VHF or both. A good UHF antenna like the Channel Master 4228 does a nice job for deep fringe areas.

What color coding is this?

Red, Blue, Violet?

Looks OOS at the present time.

bump - deal is alive at $44.99 with free shipping

Also, it does appear to be a 51 element if it is really a Philips MANT901.
