This is for Southern California residents.

$99 gets you a pass good for 45 days from the first admission - good at either of the Disney Parks in Anaheim.

You can buy the tickets at Ralphs, Vons, or Albertsons.

NOTE: July 4 is blocked out (only blocked day)

*1 - you can apparently apply the $99 to a Disneyland Annual Pass -- good deal b/c the annual passes have summer days blocked
*2 - apparently each SoCal resident can bring 4 visitors. This is from a very reliable source, but no official word - if anyone can confirm or deny, please post.

Terms & Condition:

TICKET IS BLOCKED OUT ON 7/4/08. Tickets are valid 45 days from first use. First use must occur between 6/16/08 through 8/30/08. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use. When do you show your ID? When you buy the tickets or at Disneyland? IE can I ask my mom in So Cal to buy 3 tickets for me and friends (non from Southern Cal) to use at the park?

So the limit of 8 tickets per person means only one of the 8 people needs to have a socal ID? sorry, just want to make sure I plan right.

an ID has to be shown for every set of tickets when purchased. you cant just walk up and buy more than one adult ticket.

i'm going to assume that California is the same as Florida where I went through this very same incident about 2 years ago.

any one person can only buy 8 tickets, but ID has to be shown for every adult that a ticket is being purchased for.

Each entering adult needs So Cal ID... but as I mentioned in OP - apparently each So Cal resident (entering the park) can bring in 4 out of town guests. But, I can't find official wording about that particular policy.

Called Disneyland Annual pass hotline (714) 781-7290. Inquired about being able to bring 4 additional guest visitors, and was told resoundingly "no".

The good part of this deal is that you can go any three days in the summer and then apply it to an annual pass. There are different annual passes with different prices and blackout days. Most of the cheaper passes have most of summer blacked out so this is a good way to get around that!

If you actually buy the tickets at those stores, then I doubt they would make you show ID when you enter the gate at the Disney parks. I live in So Cal and any time I've gone when they have a special promotion for So Cal residents, they only make you show ID when you actually purchase the tickets at the ticket booth. Even then, I could buy multiple tickets at once using only my ID (after all, usually one or 2 people stand in line for the group and the rest go to the bathroom, wait under the shade, etc.). I seriously doubt when you give them the tickets at the entrance gates where they scan them that they will make everyone show their IDs. They only care if it's a valid ticket. That's my experience. YMMV

Can I visit a friend and pretend that I'm adopted into their family and pay 99 bucks for three days?

If you were to buy this 3 day pass...can you share the same pass with someone else? or do they verify that you were the original pass holder every time?

Is this true? A So Cal limited pass is $129 each, I highly doubt that you could apply the $99 to the purchase of this pass (which blocks out most of the summer, except the last couple of weekdays in August). Can anyone verify?

If this is true, this is an amazing deal and I let my annual passes expire because I couldn't go during the summer and the kids go to school now.

haha it's not just for families so I don't see why not. Since it says proof of residency required for admission this may work differently than when they have their regular So Cal deal at the park. Not everyone takes an ID into the park though so as long as you're in a group where others show their ID, you are probably safe.

When I've used park hopper passes and such (on different days too), they only care if the ticket is valid. There's no way to connect the pass to a specific person unless you have an annual pass so I'm pretty sure you could share the pass with someone else.

I learned this the hard way: We lost one of our 3 day passes and I checked to see if I could get it replaced. Guest relations told me the ticket was as good as cash and could not be traced/replaced because it was purchased outside of Disney, (Albertsons). They were kind enough to give me a one day park hopper ticket to use for that day though..

Basically, To re-enter the park on the same day, you will need a hand stamp to show, so this will make it harder to let someone else use the same ticket for the same day. But you could give the tickets to someone else to use for a "new" different day. I confirmed this with the gate as they have no way to confirm who the original ticket purchaser was. The only way they would validate the ticket purchaser is if the tickets/cards were signed on the back.

Tip: If you plan on using the tickets for all 3 days, you may want to sign the back of the tickets/cards so they can be used only by you. By doing this, you will have a better chance of the ticket being returned to you if it was turned in to lost and found or if they catch it at the gate if the ticket is lost. Otherwise the tickets are as good as cash and can be used by someone else for a new different day or the other park.

YMMV: I did not have to show CA ID to buy the tickets or to enter the gates.

this is an AWESOME deal! my family is moving out of state (REALLY) soon and it's not worth it to renew our AP's but then again, we all want one last trip to the park so this is an incredible and AWESOME DEAL! >^-^<

YES, you can buy them at your local Vons/Ralphs/Albertsons.
YES, you can apply the $99 towards any of the other ANNUAL PASSES ($129 and up for SoCal Select...)
YES, you can "hop" from either park on the same day.
YES, you can do this THREE WHOLE TIMES!
YES, you can go ANY three days- does NOT have to be consecutive.
NO, you DO NOT NEED ID when you buy it from the grocery stores. It helps to have your ID, but no one cards for those things... I've bought DelMar Fair tix, Knotts tix, Magic Mtn tix in the past- they NEVER CARD. Just smile & be nice. it goes a longggg way.

Have fun everyone!

So, I have 10 people who are wanting to go for 2 days. Could we just share 7 tickets or, do we need to buy one for each person? Thanks!
