Link to CX300B at Amazon (Black) - $29.99 w/ Free Shipping

$15 Mail In Rebate - Please note, you must send in an old pair of headphones to qualify (ANY old pair will be fine, working, non-working, doesn't matter)

Reviews are pretty good, at its normal price ($50+, some as high as $85) there are better options out there IMO, but for $15ar it really can't be beat. Most reviews speak of rolled off highs, but good mids and very strong bass.

UPDATE: Price Raised to $29.99 shipped.

Thanks to imp42190 at SD for the deal.

Cash Back is available from FatWallet!Newegg: 1.0% Cash Back » See offers, coupons, ratings, and applicable restrictions. (see conditions)

Heads up, there appears to be two Bar Codes on the back of the package, one is a UPC (vertical down the side), and the other at the bottom is a EAN. The rebate form asks for the UPC, so make sure to send the correct one.

Seems like a good deal, I'm sure I could find some old shattered plastic headphones to send in for the rebate... Should I get one josh?

Dang, that went fast. On a good note, they should be back in stock on Tuesday the 8th, hopefully the $50 instant discount will still be available.

The rebate form indicates the qualifying headphones for the rebate must be Sennheiser. Have you done this before and any pair, regardless of brand, will default to the $15?

The rebate form is showing the amounts of the rebate for the headphone you purchase, not what you send in. It works with ANY old headphone, earphone, etc.

1. Gather up your headphones—new, old, broken, used—we don’t care!
2. Upgrade to a pair of Sennheiser headphones (see list)
3. Mail us the old headphones and completed E-Z form (below) and get CA$H for your trade!

The form indicates that you have to purchase one of the qualifying Sennheiser brands and depending on which model you buy determines which rebate you get. This thread is about the CX300S or CX300B which qualify for a $15 rebate. If for example you buy a set of Street Earbuds you'd only get $5 back. As OP said, you can send in any old set of headphones. It does not say that you have to send in an old set of Sennheiser. Gee, I wonder if I still have my 5lb Koss headphones from 1974...

I'm sending in a third party PSP pair that came with some other stuff I needed in a eBay auction. They cost about 30 cents

This was posted over at SD for a day now.

Picked up another pair. This is a great deal. These are great quality for the price, and at that price they can be abused and used by the kids.

My ultimate ears are staying away from the kids.

Offer valid only on consumer purchases made between April 1 - July 31, 2008 from an Authorized Sennheiser USA dealer.

When I went to their website and looked for Newegg, it didn't show up. Is Newegg an Authorized Sennheiser USA dealer?

I'd second this question, despite the rebate being posted on Newegg's website.

I doubt Newegg wants to set itself up for consumer fraud. If you don't think the rebate will fly then contact Newegg and ask them if they're authorized.
