I am not going to take all the credit, because I pieced it together from what was already out there but here we go.

http://www.Crutchfield.com/S-I3Qim13ELCI/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=070XHD6425
20 off cupon code 3A825
50 off rebate
http://ak.Buy.com/buy_assets/retail/pdfs/08Q2/0630-0929db_50HDradio.pdf

you could get it cheaper if you didnt buy from c-field, but you get good support and a harness for that price!

reviews are pretty good, Mine should be here by tomrorrow.

change seller to 6Ave, free shipping and $2 cheaper AR.

Even cheaper, go to Etronics and use Ebill me. They are offering a $25 rebate for first time customers for a purchase of $100 or more. Total $117 w/ shipping - $50 -$25 = ~$42 AR. I think FW has CashBack for them too.

Is it worth another rebate to save $4 more than buying from 6Ave? That's up to you, but all this could be moot if you need a wiring harness, as the OP stated. Depending on your car, you might be better off going with Crutchfield. They have great customer support as well.

If I was looking for a single DIN unit, I'd be all over this. Good reviews, fantastic price.

Edit to add: $5 price grabber bonus available as well.

i don't think anyone has suggested that it wouldn't.... that would be a free radio.

PriceGrabber $5 Rebate

Changing the seller might be a problem with the $50 rebate but most likely not since it's still Amazon...

Thanks OP! I have been looking to replace my stock radio for a while now. This is a good enough deal to get me started! Went ahead and went w/ CF for the free harness and good support history. I like the very specific car profiler that tells you exactly the add ons you need.

I have this radio and it is real real good, sounds great, does ID3 tags, USB, BestBuy has the bluetooth add-on for 24.99 of you can find them they are on clearance.
And the HD reception (at least in Denver) is spot on. I paided $150.00 installed at Car Toys about 4 months ago, and I thought it was worth it then.

I'm concerned that it might not fit (too small for the opening), and would need an additional mounting kit to make it fit. How can I determine if I'd need an additional mounting kit?

Go to Crutchfield.com and do some research there. Input your vehicle info and it'll tell you everything you need to install the unit in your car. You might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere but after spending money on the wire and the mounting kit, Crutchfield is usually cheaper. They have very good tech support and there is no tax in CA.

I Purchased this unit last year for my car. Then my brother wanted it so I put one in his car. Another friend liked it so much that I just ordered another one from Crutchfield last week and put it in her car. Overall, great unit. Read the reviews.

Punch in your vehicle at Crutchfield and they will include the install kit for your dash. If the opening is larger than std din, they'll include a plastic filler pocket.

How does the bluetooth work on these? Like, can you use a cell phone through the stereo if you have the adapter?

Awesome unit, great HD radio, USB input for using all those USB memory sticks you have floating around. Aux input for ipod, plus mp3/cd.

The bluetooth module is optional, a long cord plugs into the back of the stereo, and you mount a microphone on your visor. When calls come in you press a button and they get played over the stereo, when you hang up your music restarts automatically, very nice!

I admit to some price bias, as I was lucky enough to pick this up last year at a blowout price of $30, and the bluetooth unit was another $15. But even for higher prices it's a very nice unit.

Yes. Channel's name, singer's names, title's name. It also comes with a remote control. The sound quality of AM channels under HD is great!!!
My 95 plymouth Van is too old and the lock was broken. I don't want to pay extra to fix it. Otherwise, i will re-buy this player.
