I was recently in the market for a portable DVD player and since I am used to watching blu-ray movies at home, my first priority was finding the best LCD screen in a portable DVD player. Most everyone agrees that the Sony DVP-FX820 provides the best LCD screen with it's high 848x400 native resolution. Vanns currently has this on sale for $149 shipped (and for those in California, they don't charge the $8 recycle fee).

Although I could have used the earphones, the carrying case left much to be desired and plus you have to pay taxes and recycle fee.

Thanks for posting this deal. I had been wanting to buy this for a few weeks, but was kind of reluctant. I've seen the non-black models on sale as cheap as $169.99. Nothing compares to this price!
