wow, august 31st! all my movies are getting bought with the ol' discover till then. too bad the local imax doesn't do online tickets at fandango, or i'd have gotten my dark knight tickets much cheaper

edit: duh, 1 ticket per customer... guess i wont be seeing all my movies on the cheap, just one

On SD they explained that the link works on some fandango servers and doesn't on others. So it might not work if you hit a server that hasn't been updated.

Has anyone discovered (no pun intended) how they're checking the 1 per customer business? Are they using credit cards, Fandango accounts, addresses, emails or some combination?

Problem with Fandango in OK is that the two theatres that take their tickets are crappy ones. I did get a free ticket code for Journey but I'll probably just use that to see Batman...Again.

Regarding the expired link, maybe (hopefully) it is an old one and that is why it is showing the limit has been reached. Otherwise seems idiotic to offer a promo that is set to end on 8/31 that ends up being cut off six weeks early. Not that these things still can't end up being stupid.

Anyone know how the one free ticket per customer thing works? Can we use different Fandango accounts with the same credit card? Or use those temporary credit card numbers with different Fandango accounts?

Edit: someone posted this over at SD "$34.50 for 6 tickets...I did three separate orders on the same login. I used one time use numbers from discover. I hope they don't make a big deal at the kiosk since I don't have the actual card."

But like others have said, you should be able to go up to the desk and show them the printout.
