This is an older model, but the price is the best around. I've had this monitor for a year now (bought at $999), and it works excellent for xbox 360, or a very large computer monitor. This does not have a tuner! Also, only 1 HDMI input, and no digital audio output.

I have the LVM-37W1 and the LVM-37W3.

Both have been excellent performers especially for those wanting to use them for HTPC setups.

Actually this is not an old model. Its the newest of the 37" W series.

Forget that it lacks a useless tuner, what makes this model special is its ability to do 1:1 pixel mapping and DVI connections.

YUP. Hence the HTPC setups with DVI ports. Then hookup your computer through optical to your surround setup and you're set.

$100 MIR form

UPS Shipping Rebate form

I guess the HDTV Connection Kit rebate form comes after the TV is received.

This looks like a good deal. But the issues with PS3 I read about on avs forum are kind of scaring me away.

Great deal, I had been waiting for this one. Almost bought recertified for this price from eCost last year.

1) It's not really 'newer'. It's about the same age as the 37W3. This replaced the 37W3 by removing one DVI port because westinghouse was having issues making the DVI's all HDCP compliant. To cajole customers into still buying the set they raised the contrast ratio a little. Costco secretly started subbing this model in on orders of the 37W3 last summer.

2) If you're touting it's DVI ability you should read my 1) above.

Does anyone know where to find this in a B&M so I can see it in person before I buy?

the only people that really carried it were warehouse types and even then probably online only. When I ordered from Costco last summer, mine was shipped straight from Canada to my house I think. Don't compare this to a TX you might see in store as the TX series uses dynamic backlighting to artificially boost contrast and has a little better scaler and deinterlacer supposedly.

I've used it in person and it's pretty much a 37" LCD like you'd see anywhere. The contrast is better than most all PC monitors and text was pretty sharp on it using DVI. If you're watching SD 480i content all day you will hate it, so make sure you have high def sources, preferably 1080p ones.

I want to jump on this, but their site is down for the moment. Reviews of this seller are a mixed bag -- does anyone here have experience with them, good or bad? Any guesses on how long the site will be down?

I have a 47'' monitor i bought last year. I recently bought a 52''Samsung 550 LCD and i compared both TVs side by side. I tell you Westinghouse blows Samsung away. The picture quality & color is better in Westy.

I have had this TV (monitor) for a year now. I ordered from Costco site unseen, and have been very happy with it. I have now ordered another one yesterday from OnSale. As long as you have a high-def source feeding it, it is a very nice picture. Use a high-def cable box, a high-def satellite receiver, a PC, or an Xbox 360 / PS3 and you should like it. It does support 1080p over HDMI or component. 1080i looks great on it as well. 720p doesn't look as good, but that is because the native resolution is 1080.

I actually ordered one from PCMall (their sister company), but they added sales tax after the order was complete. I also found this deal after ordering from PCMall, and with the shipping rebate, as well as no tax from OnSale for me, this was a much better deal. So I cancelled the PCMall order.

Dealing with them on the phone to cancel the order, was pleasant and with no hassles. The OnSale order has already shipped. So far, I am happy with them.

I don't know why their website is down. PCMall is too. Waiting until it is back up will get you the 2% fat cash.

onsale.com website is back up. My order will arrive on Monday.

Looks like there is also a free after rebate($89) wall mount, although forms don't seem to be avalable for any of the rebate offers, right now.

I went for it, and I have printed out the $100 rebate, the most important one! Two questions, though: where do I find the UPS rebate form? Also, for the "Connection kit" and the wall mount, how does it work? Should I have added them to my order when I bought the TV?

Free Shipping Rebate Form (link)

Looks like the mount is sold out.

As for the form for the free kit, couldn't find it.

Shipping rebate is up to $40 only, and the cost to my area is about $57, I have to pay $17 for shipping if UPS can honor the rebate. In this case, shipping is not free at all.
