Newegg has the XBOX Live Gold card for only $39.99 plus free shipping. It does not specify that it's the 12+1 card but it is. I just received mine and it's for 13 months. Best deal around right now. I chose free standard shipping and it only took a few business days to get here as well.

Yes, silver accounts have access to TV and Movie purchases/downloads. Gold accounts allow online gaming and first grabs at many new items in the marketplace.

Free? You don't even get free movies or TV shows with gold membership. Occassionally they offer a free episode of something but I don't see it very often. If you want to watch content via live, you will pay for it.

hmm..

I got 12 months live on Kmart, they had it on clearance. This was two months ago though.

These usually EXPIRE ON JULY, the one I bought was going to expire on JUL 2008.

The new Live subs expire on JUL 2012 i think.

You also must have a Gold account to use the new NetFlix streaming service.
