Here is the deal:
Go to Kayak.com
Click the "Hotels" tab
Search "Honolulu, HI" hotels with a start date between Dec 15-18, 2008 and a total of 6 nights.
For example Dec 15-21, Dec 16-22, Dec 17-23, Dec 18-24
Choose two guest, one room
Once the search is done, check three star hotel and sort by price

ResortQuest Pacific Monarch

Honolulu, HI 96815, United States
Cost only $26 per night when purchased through gtahotels.com.
That is a total of ~$186 for 6 days staying three blocks from Waikiki beach!

You have to go through a specific room broker to get this price-the price for the same room through Orbitz is over $100 a night for the same time frame.

i use to live on Oahu and am going to offer all some advise even though there is a huge risk of getting flamed for it:

If you go there for vacation, and want a good deal on a hotel, this is a good one.

if you want to enjoy your vacation, get this deal but DON'T Go to Waikiki beach (unless you go to Famous Dave's). It's a waste of time in my opinion. The beach there is crowded and dirty. Locals don't go there because it's nasty.

Instead, Rent a car and drive to the east side or north side of the island (don't ride the bus!) It is a far better experience. if you REALLY want a good time, go to the other islands. It's about $50 a person to fly, each way.
