Just curious here - what does the 2006 mean here? Model year?

Yeah.. I couldn't think of anything else it would mean. Although, I looked at a bunch of other tents and none of them had dates after the name.. Things that make ya go...hhhmmmmm
looks like it doesn't have a outer shell for the rain.
actually a very nice looking tent.
Not that great a deal to me, was just at WalMart and picked up a 6 person tent for $49.64, a lot more spacious and looks to be a lot more rugged. They also had other tents on sale, some the same size as this one and cheaper.

Eureka is a lot better tent than WalMart. If you are only going to use it at a campsite every now and then, who cares, but if you are backpacking, you'll see a big difference.

Check the top of the tent. It does have a rain fly.

Those tents are crap, good luck in any extended rain as you will get wet without a tarp on top of tent. My Eurka family tent has endured numerous rain storms and we all stayed dry.
The deal is dead. It is $77.68 now.
Can we stop fighting please? ![]()

I had no idea that tents were graded by "cost-per-person-slept" ![]()
I'm sure the extra space is nice, but if we ever go camping together, you get to carry it!
Thanks.
I really wanted this item for vacation.

If you live near Big 5 Sporting Goods, they got a 3-person Rugged Exposure tent for $20.
RUGGED EXPOSURE ‘PROSPECTOR’ 3-PERSON TENT
7’ x 7’
48” CENTER HEIGHT
Two Windows, Mesh Roof Vents & Large Door!
• STORM ZIP COVER
I bought one last month for $23, they did not ask for any coupon even though the ad said with coupon.
