right on the product page there is an 8% off coupon so it's 36.79 before Cash Back.

edit: my mistake, should have read the OP more carefully

Great deal OP! In for one. I was about to pull the trigger on the older model for $29.99 but this one is newer and cheaper in the end! Thanks.

dope, just ordered 2 of the 8010s. wondering if i should cancel that order and get these instead. any opinions? the 8040 is a bit smaller, but the 8010 seems to get a little more battery life and has the stereo headset option.

Looks like this is a lower model then the BT8010, don't be confused look at the Jabra website.

yeah, i think i'm going to just stay with the 8010. extra features, stereo option look good. i like the weight of the 8040 and i don't know, but the ear gel design might fit better than the loop of the 8010. but i guess we'll see.

Thanks..picked one up. Not sure what ppl are saying that this is a "lessor model"...if you look thru the features the 8040 also has the stereo option on the jabra website...(you'd HOPE that it is correct).

Besides...fleabay also shows the 8040 going consistently for more than that 8010 as well....course...you can score the 8040 for about ~ $28 after shipping if you catch/snipe a good deal.

-2 cents

i don't believe the 8040 has a stereo option (as in two earpieces). i also don't think that either one is necessarily a lesser model - just different. the 8040 is smaller and has a different type of ear piece (fitted gel). the 8010 has the second earpiece you can optionally connect for stereo listening, is a little bigger, and has a jog wheel and led display. basically, it is a matter of preference on the features. i think the "lesser" comment about the 8040 refers to its lower retail price.

according to the reviews Here the 8040 is given a better rating, whereas the 8010 is given a 4 rating (out of 5)8010 review Here.

You are right, the demo for 8040 is mono, and no stereo.

-2 cents.

I am a proud owner of the BT8010, it has a led display on the outside showing what it is connected to, works as good as you expect it (tried cheaper BT headsets that was impossible to hear on the other end without yelling) and yes the only draw back is the over the ear hook piece. Didn't see any stereo option on the website for the BT8040, so unless someone has it to confirm? Does appear to consume more battery life then the BT8010 if using it as a mono piece.

Does 'white box pack' mean it's a refurb?

I should also mention the flebay versions DO NOT include the extras...i.e. usb charger, AC charger, or perhaps even the 3 sets of earbuds.

so..this is a pretty good deal overall.

peace my brothers.

-2 cents.

Well... Jabra meant USB as AC charger that utilizes mini-USB connection to charge. My BT5020 came with AC charger, but Jabra says 'USB' charger

The site sells some other products in retail packaging, and some in 'white box.' Hmm...

BIG warning here guys, mine just showed up from HONG KONG. Clean those ear pieces these are used, mine had ear wax and bits of hair on it. I cleaned mine with alcohol. These do NOT include any ear gels so you better hope the size it comes with fits you. Def not a good deal. I haven't used it yet but it seems to be charging ok, no idea how much the battery was used though, it was already installed, nothing is sealed just little zip lok type baggies.
