I went to my WallMart, and found 2 frames that looked exactly like this one, but the numbers where a little off, but again, it was the same. The price on the sticker was $198. I went over to the electronics desk/cashier and asked him to check stock of an item. He said he can't do that. I said why not, and he said what do you want. I said I have a wallmart item number that I want you to put in to see how many of the item you have, and what price it is listed as. He said ok and took page 2 (I printed the web page) so he could type in the number. I don't think he really did but then said, “what is this?!” “give me that other page!!” I didn't want to, but he kinda took it from me and it looked at it, jumped a few steps back and said, THERES NO WAY!!! and I said, you don't believe me, go to that URL at the bottom of the page and see it yourself. He then insisted I photoshoped it. He then picked up the phone and dialed the manger. He talked on the phone and the manger went to the page and conferred it. He then said "what do I do" and then hung up. He said sorry gave me the papers back and told me to leave. I said EXCUSE ME! I said, you have the fame, I have the price, now you match it because I want to buy it. He said nope, we don't do that. I said fine, I'm going to customer service to talk to the manger. He then said the manger just left (looks at clock). I said well I'm still speaking with customer service, he said don't bother, there just goofs.

I went over to the CS desk and there was a long line. So I went out to the car and called the wallmart on my phone. The laddie on the phone asked me for the number I told her and she said I need the UPC not whatever you gave me. I said its a WallMart ITEM NUMBER, she said, we can't check that. I said you can't check your own stock number? she said no. I said there was no UPC, SKU, etc on this page. She said sorry, what is the item. I said a digital pic frame and she said “hold on”. 20 seconds later that first guy I talked to picked up and said “elections, how may I help you?” so I hung up.

Went back in the sore later that night and this time the story was almost empty and there was a different laddie there. I gave her the number and he looked it up no problem. She said we have 2 in stock, and they are $48 on clearance. I said no, they should be this much and showed her the print out. She too was shocked and said oh no, thats not right. I said then look it up yourself. I said I want a price match, she said we don't do that. I said its your OWN website! she said well then buy it on line and ship it to store, I said show me how to do that when it said NOT SOLD ONLINE with no button to buy it. She said, well then your out of luck. She said we have 2 at $48 take it or leave it. So I left.

Although $48 was cheap for a 12" frame, I didn’t really need one so I left.

I'll go back next week, do the same thing and see if there system takes the price down lower. Who knows?

So the deal is NOT DEAL. In fact, it may not even be ripe yet!

YMMV like the bestbuy etc clearance stuff.
