the VTF3-HO has a great score on that list I hear a lot of praise for the HSU products on avsforums great deal! |
Dear god, 500 watts. Great for movies filmed in... Sensurround! |
low price only available for the maple finish, not the black, if that is a concern. |

my experience with customer service at Velodyne was horrendous. I wish I had never purchased Velodyne. I've heard lots of the VTF2 (10") in a small space. I would assume the 12" has even more of that awesome sound. |
HSU makes some of the best subs out there (that are priced in the hundreds, not thousands). |
I have a Hsu and it is a great subwoofer. I called the company once with some questions regarding setup and spoke to a tech for a very long time. He was extremely helpful (to the point of asking my room dimensions, doors, windows, etc., to help me get the best acoustics) and it was only at the end of the conversation that I learned that the person I was talking to was Dr. Hsu himself. |
Since shipping is static why not put it in title? |
Great price on a great sub. I recently replaced my Hsu VTF-2 with an AV123 dot com MFW-15. At this general price point, you may want to check out the MFW-15 as well. |
Nice find OP. |
I have STF-2 model and it rocks. Bass is tight and blends well. A bit pricey compared to WalMart brands but if you are a serious HT guy or music listener, you will find the investment worth it. I have seen some people compare this with svs but svs is a bit more $$$. And that 500 watt RMS is NOT WalMart RMS (meaning variable and sometimes max only). It is continues. This sub can fill a a small size hall. |
you might also want to check out epik subwoofers |
And if you're handy with tools you could also DIY...check out the DIY threads at AVSForum and HomeTheaterShack... |
