Circuit City has the samsung 40" 5 series (ln40a550) for $1099.99. i was about to go pick this up when i saw bestbuy had the same model on sale for $1299, with a free portable phillips dvd player. since cc, and bb were right near each other i figured id try and see if bb would price match cc, and give me the free dvd player. to my surprise they actually did!! i was going to post a link to bb's page to show the free portable dvd player, but it seems they've changed it and are not offering that anymore... weird. perhaps anyone else who saw this could chime in? anyways i believe this is still a very good deal for those looking to buy a new lcd tv, as this is $300-400 off the normal price of most places.

Wouldn't the Amazon Samsung+Xbox 360 deal be better?
No tax no shipping + discount on a 360 plus the TV is only 1071.
But still a good deal if you only want the TV and the portable DVD player.

well for me, the portable dvd player offer worked out best since im not a fan of xbox, but that too is a very good deal. either way they come out about the same (unless you're buying the xbox its a better savings overall), except with bb you dont have to wait for shipping. lots of good deals for this tv out there. i see someone else posted another different offer for a 10-12% off the $1099 from either cc or bb. lots of deals out there.

Amazon has this screen (ln40a550) for $1079 and free shipping. Not sure how tax works, but I don't get taxed on my other Amazon orders.
