If you live in Chicago or planning a visit to the city, here is an offer to visit the Museum of Science and Industry for FREE.

All WEEKDAYS in September, the museum will be FREE. Special exhibits are extra. Also, they are offering discounted memberships. Normal admission is $13 for adults, $9 for children 3-11, and $10 for seniors.

This is a great museum! I went there 3 or 4 times and paid ~$20 each time! I even live 120 miles away! I still have not finished seeing all the exhibits!

The following September dates are free: 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30.

Sunday, September 20 is Science Chicago, so that would be a great day to go!

We went recently on a free day, but mainly so that we could visit (and pay for the admission) to see the Smart Home they have on display. The rest of the museum is OK - more fun if you've got children I suppose (really IS more for kids).

While you're there (and not around lunchtime), make sure to check out the display tucked in away in one of the stairwells showing some guy's body sectioned into thin slices. Very interesting.
