My local Sears (Westfield Mall in Vancouver, WA) has the 8 gig, third generation iPod Nano on sale for $159 ($199 - $40 off).

There were about 6 available. No other iPod models were on display.

Leads me to believe the new (4th gen) Nano rumors for next week are probably true.

Def. think the rumors are true. I also thing the price of the 4th gen 8GB will be $150 which is the price of the 3rd gen 4GB. Given the price of flash RAM now I suspect 8GB will be the new "entry level" and we'll see a new 16GB nano priced at $199. So I'm not sure how much of a deal $159 is. I guess if you are in the market for a nano you could buy now, but I'd hold off opening until the 4th gen is announced since it could be a better value.

Apple 4GB Gen 3 iPod Nano (Silver) refurb with 60 day warranty $99.99 shipped price here scoobydeal.com. Ever buy a refurb? Good or bad experiences? Looking forward to the G4 iPods too... I hear the Nano is going to go away.
