Looks like a great deal for getting OTA ATSC channles. Note that this doesn't work for NTSC (e.g., Cable). |

The HYBRID Volar model is fairly well rated, but as noted by others....this one ain't the HYBRID model. It's ATSC only. So unless you want to watch ONLY digital broadcast TV, it has limited value. You will probably want at least some analog capability and at least QAM digital tuning for minimal digital cable reception. Here's a link to Newegg for the Volar HYBRID version, which sells for $80. |

Update: I installed this tuner last night, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture. I only used the included small antena, but will try a powered antena later this week. Can't go wrong for $33. |
