Came across the following deal: Kirkwood Season Pass, no blackout dates for $399 if purchased before 9/15/2008. There is a site that has all the details here: http://www.kirkwoodpass.com/

It's not advertised on the main web site, but does work, I purchased my pass.

For those not familiar with Kirkwood: It gets the most snow in the Lake Tahoe area typically. It's a bit remote, but has the best terrain (in my opinion). And at this price, it pays off after only 3 weekends, or 6 days...

Use to be my favorite resort, and the Kirkwood inn my fave apres ski bar. Sadly I haven't been there in years though.

Sounds like a great deal.

Typo. Pays off after 3 weekENDS, not weeks A ticket is $70 at Kirkwood this season --> 6 x $70 = $420. So if you ski 6 days throughout one season, you're good.

They just put in 2 new lifts too! Last year I got their student rate pass, which had blackouts, but was only $250. Paid off in 2 trips (2 days each).

There are a number of good season pass deals for less than $400 this year in Tahoe - see Tahoe season pass summary.

I prefer the heavenly pass ( $349 for renewal, $369 for new passes) because I like the wide variety of tree skiing there. Also gives you half price tickets at other vail resorts.

FYI kirkwoodpass.com seems somewhat suspicious. Posted by a new member and site does not appear to be owned by kirkwood. Looks like it may be self promotion: possibly registrant's web page

Kirkwood is so much better than Heavenly if you're a snowboarder. There's so many dang catwalks at Heavenly, especially if you want to go to and fro the Nevada and Cali sides!

Plus Kirkwood has

That pass has blackout dates though, so if you ski only one of the holidays, you've already paid more than for the Kirkwood pass...

This is a landing page set up for people to request the login and password. The actual purchase process happens through Kirkwood at http://www.kirkwood.com/networkpass/. Kirkwood won't allow the password to be posted publicly.
