IMHO this camera has a battery that does not hold its charge for long. Make sure you carry along an extra battery if you want to take it on vacation or intend to take more than 25 pictures with the flash on.

----------------------------------------------

The camera uses the popular KLIC-7004 battery. You can get a second battery with 1200mAh instead of the standard 1000mAh for extra life from eBay for about $6 a piece.

The v1073 uses an LCD that is difficult to see outdoors in the sun. You can try the following to help it gain up a little bit:

I have been fooling around with the V1073 settings and you can make this camera more usable in the sunlight by doing the following steps:

1. Select the 'P' mode on the touchscreen.
2. Click the middle button on the bottom right of the camera to get into setup.
3. Select the setup tab at the top right of the touchscreen.
4. Make sure LCD brightness is set to high power.
5. Make sure the LCD dimmer is set to off.
6. Click the middle button on the bottom right of the camera to get out of setup.
7. Select the 'p' in the upper left of the touchscreen.
8. Select 'SCN' or scene mode in the middle of the touchscreen.
9. Scroll across and choose 'Beach' scene mode on the touchscreen. This causes the display to gain up a little.

It's still not great but it might make the difference for some of you.

It looks like the regular price for the printer is 79.99 and the camera 199.99 for me. With In-store pickup its 69.99 and $149.91 ...wonder why the .91 makes me think its an Office Depot screw-up.

Smoking hot deal, the printer isn't worth much of anything, $25 maybe but the camera is selling for $175 plus shipping on eBay.

add to your cart and do a store pick up. the price changes. the kodak camera requires in store receipt. the rebate form does not mention on line purchases to be eligible. they want cash register receipt. so u have to do a in store pick up to get the rebate.

Thanks, OP!

Found a local store where the camera was in stock, and price dropped to $149 and change in the cart. The ip3500 was OOS, so I picked up the MP210 instead - is also FAR with camera purchase.

UPDATEStrike that - combo rebate is only available for PC / Laptop; will have to revise order at the B&M for the ip3500
