This is by far the worst mp3 player on the market. One of the worst displays ever on an mp3 player. The interface is painful to use. You cant scroll through songs while listening to music without it skipping. The construction of this player is so cheap and bulky.

Do not buy. You have been warned.

If you want a sansa, the E series is much nicer build quality than this, and can be had for maybe $5 more on sale.

The 1GB model was sold on Woot earlier this year for $10 & shipping. I bought some for the kids, who haven't deigned to use them.

(They were back-up units for their Sansa Clip and iPods. The kids like their Clip units a lot--I think they have a decent sound. The Clip models have been on sale for $40-50 and may be worth the extra $ to most people.)

It's hard to believe that these were once $149. $30 would seem to be high for the current market. But if you only have $30, then this may be adequate.

Plus the E series allows you to watch video, and run Rockbox as well. As an added plus, the E250 is the same $30 price HERE.

My Sansa Clip survived drowning.

I got one of these 2G Sansas because I've had a 1G for quite a while and love it.

Well the other day after coming home from a long bicycle ride, I pulled off my jersey and forgot that the Sansa Clip was still clipped to it. I proceeded to pour liquid detergent on the jersey and threw it in a big bucket of water. I then proceeded to take a shower. Then it dawned on me that the Sansa was now under water. I continued to shower thinking all was lost.........and happy that at least I have my new 2G Clip that I just bought a few weeks ago.
After the shower, I went to the bucket of water and pulled the Sansa out. I tried to turn it on, but it was dead. Then I thought that at least I should try to dry it out and see what happens.

I put it in the Florida sun for the rest of that day, and most of the next. I then connected it to a charger and it came to life. I let it charge fully and all is well, even the internal mic works. I've been using it for the last few days with no problems.

I am quite surprised, I never expected it to survive drowning. I love my Sana.
