Went to Circuit City to purchase a xbox for $259.99 but was pleasantly surprised to see it ring up at $249.99 instead. Shows $259.99 online.

This is worth it over the $199.99 arcade because not only does it have the hard drive, but it comes with component cables for HD gaming and headsets and a ethernet cable.

Kind of worth it if the hard drive is a must!

Why?

you will be using

Edit quick reply sucks!!

Original message

If hard drive is not optional then yes it is a good deal.

Why not so good?

1. you will be using your own HDMI cable (I Hope) and not silly Component cables
2. Microsoft headset..enough said!
3. Ethernet cables are $3-4 at monprice

Arcade is a great deal if connect to live is not a necessity.

20gb hard drive is getting cheap by itself

Good deal- not smoking, but I jumped on it anyway. Instant gratification was just a short drive away.

You can get this price anywhere pretty much if they have 20gb in stock. It was part of the recent $50 price drop, so now you, sometimes some places have it for $260 as well, but still its only $10. You are almost better off buying an arcade version, cuz you can find 20GB really cheap sometimes.

That's not correct.

The new pricing structure is:

$199
$299
$399

This would be the same as the Pro bundle which is retail for $299. You also get $20 worth of points. So to sum it up, for that extra $80 you spend over the Arcade bundle, you are getting a 20gb hard drive, $20 in points, and a headset. I honestly don't think you can do better getting the parts separately...and that doesn't even factor in the time you spend finding the extras.

Where?

Thanks

incorrect. the 299 price is for the 60GB 360. 249 IS the current price of the 20GB 360 which is being fazed out.

You are actually better buying this at Amazon or Buy.com cuz you dont have to pay tax, even though they have it listed at $260, you save about $10 since you dont pay shipping or tax on either site depending where u live.
