Finally! Dodge realizes because you get 40% less quality/reliability, you should pay 40% less for the truck. |
i don't know if they still offer the lifetime warranty or preferred financing. but that would make it even a better deal. |
Great for some one who actually "need" one. |
I dont think so, its a bunch of BS if someone thinks they can walk in there and get a Ram 1500 for $20.000 i like to see it , I built my truck on there and MSRP comes to $36.000 - $3000 bonus cash and $6000 cach allowance comes to $27.000 $2000 more than i paid last year + $5000 in taxes and title etc. Dodge allways has a cash allowance on Rams mine was $5000 but my MSRP was lower, so they just upped there MSRP and offer 40% off LOL *

I don't know much about Dodge vehicles since they don't have them where i am from, but are they that bad? I was about to buy a used Dodge Dakota (2008 with only 1200 miles on the clock) for a great price from a dealer. |
My Dodge (Diesel) is a 99.... and has over 300K miles on the odometer... Minor repairs, and changing oil, doing brakes, and new tires. Air conditioner is broke, but WHO cares! |

I did.... and I had a Chevy Chevette (lil square 1980's car, WITH OUT air conditioning in it)... But since I USUALLY ride my Harley everywhere, I am used to having no AC (or 285 AC... 2 wheels and 85 MPH!!!). In the truck, is usually ride 270 AC (2 windows down, and 70MPH). The diesels's had problems too, esp the auto trannys.... but I have a 5 speed stick. The manual trannys had problems in the late 90's/ early 00s... they had probs pulling away from the curb! I think that was fixed, but don't know, cuz I don't follow the news and and dont have an auto... |

Pre-Hemi dodge trucks had loads of tranny problems and weak gas engines. Once the hemi came out with the new transmission, they got much better. I put 25K miles on my 2004 with ZERO problems. Loads of power, nice transmission, great towing, decent ride, etc... It's a nice truck now, much nicer than the pre 2002 models. |
I've owned alot of trucks over the years, Fords, Dodges, Chevys and even a GMC. My 03 Dodge Ram was the best truck I ever owned, hands down. All makes have their own issues...When the new Tundras first came out, they had problems with the new 5.7L V-8s, but it wouldn't keep me from owning a Toyota. |
just got a quote on a 1500 Year |
My brother just bought one with a $40k sticker and get it for $23k. |

$40K - 40% discount + 50% Maintenance cost of POS American truck = FAIL |
You are able to get all kind of great Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge deals out there. Two weeks ago, I just got a new 2008 Jeep Commander 4X4 7 passenger Sport, with an MSRP 0f $32,150 + all the tax/title/fees for $18,600. The actual car was right around $17,100 + all the tax/title/fees on top. So 17,100/32,150 = 47% off MSRP. That was a sweet deal! But not as sweet as my one pay on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. That was $2,600 TOTAL paid up front, everything included, for a 24 month, 24,000 lease. No monthly payments. Ahhh, that was a bargain back then. |
