    This is indeed legit. We went through the same company to get a free GPS, and we received it just fine. However, if this is the same portable DVD player they offered before, my wife signed up for it, and recently got an e-mail saying they were out of the DVD player. They were going to send her an Amazon gift card for $180 instead.

    i signed up for this yesterday... when will i be able to see the status of the dvd player online? how long does it take for the card to be mailed to me? i was approved instantly when i applied.

    Ofcourse this is legit. But I had to wait 4 months to get the $180 GC from Amazon when they went out of stock on the phillips portable dvd player deal from June. So thats why good luck!

    The card should arrive within a week to 10 days. As soon as you receive your new Discover card, you should immediately make a small purchase (or larger if you choose). This way you will "activate", or fulfill, the terms of the deal. Within about a week after that you should be able to see the status change on the website. It will still take some time after that to be shipped to you.

    I got the following message:

    Your Application is being processed. We have received your application but need to perform additional processing before we can provide you with a decision. Within 30 days we will send you more information to the address provided on your Application."

    So should I just wait?

    Ah ok. So will I get the "Order ID" when the card comes in? I got an e-mail today saying it's on its way.

    I tried my first Discover Card today..

    I got the final message as

    Your Application is being processed. We have received your application but need to perform additional processing before we can provide you with a decision. Within 30 days we will send you more information to the address provided on your Application.

    Isn't this process immediate in 60 secs?
    How long does it take to get an update? Or
    Should we followup again?
