lol, thanks for the vote of confidence, but I have a feeling I won't make the Leaderboard this week because I have been rather busy for the last six days and haven't been posting as much. Today's the last day to qualify for this week's Leaderboard, and though I probably won't make it there, I might as well post a bit while I have time.

We all appreciate the postings but personally, I don't believe the leaderboard should constist primarily of copy and pasting from other sites, but infact "finding" the deals and posting them.

Just my thoughts!

I value your opinion, but trust me that I do not just "copy and paste" from other sites. Feel free to check the original threads for everything I've posted. I try to make everything much clearer than the original post, with additional information and links whenever possible. In any case, we should move this conversation elsewhere as it does not pertain to this deal (if you post a reply in the Leaderboard thread, I'll reply).

I don't understand some people. If the OP found the deal from SD, he found a deal for us in FW community, period.
Where do you think the deal was found in SD?

alert mods

But I don't think FW like SD in the link!

Does anyone know if the Blu-ray player comes with software?

Hows about we quit the thread crappin' and discuss the deal.

HP has two desktops on sale, links and source from SD. IMHO HOT!! I needed a new computer, this is great timing.

I purchased the Intel version:
- HP Pavilion Elite m9300t PC with TV/PVR
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q9300 (2.5GHz)
- FREE UPGRADE to 3GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM from 2GB
- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS, DVI-I, VGA, HDMI
- 320GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive

$620 plus tax, free ship.

Other option was AMD. Cheaper processor, but can add blue ray read/write drive. Check out options:

AMD version

Intel Version

Intel CPU on Newegg alone is $260.

I respect the people who post deals, so I feel like crediting is deserved, at the very least. Additionally, sometimes members of this forum (or vice versa, when I post at other forums) would like to get more information and more member input, and if that is so, they can follow the deal back to where it came from. I guess I just don't like the forum mentality where people are too loyal to one specific place. Sure, I generally like FW more than SD, I'll admit that, but that doesn't mean I would hesitate to help people there as well.

Thanks for getting us back on track! And I'm glad that I could help you out.

NP! I was going to build my own system...came to $555 not including Power supply or operating system. Was looking at $800. IMHO, this is HOT! If you need a system, this one is a powerful, long term system.

alert mods

is this better deal then the Dell i530 deal for 449 at Staples?
I am not that knowledgeable on computers...
Thank you!!!

Trying to get that configuration to come out to $620 + tax but I must be missing something...mine keeps coming to $690 + tax. I'm looking for the minus $70 option but I don't see it. Going to keep working. Hopefully the coupon doesn't expire. Thanks OP and thanks dtlb26.

EDIT: WhooHoo...got it. Changed mouse and keyboard to basic (-$10) and changed Norton to 15 month (-$60). THANKS again to OP and dtlb26.

EDIT2: Knocked out my Christmas shopping 3 months early...and don't have to brave BF lines. Thanks.

Staples deal is nice since it includes a 22" monitor.
Read the forum and it appears cpu is either E4700 processor and 500 gb HD or the E4600 and 320GB HD. Essentially, a dual core PC. So a less powerful pc with a good monitor.

I have a great monitor already. I prefer this deal simply for the fact of a more powerful processor, separate video card and vista 64 bit.

Either way, good prices...

I would have thought this would have gotten some more love. Not to detract from OPs post, but if there is a better deal out there right now someone please let me know!

Thanks Mastavic. I'm using ur specs but getting $1,099?

alert mods

The specs show a 180 watt power supply. How can that be???

alert mods

Good question. I know the links under the quick summary show a 350 W power supply.
