Hello, I hope you are well.

Amazon.com currently has 3M Performance Plus 8979N Nuclear 72-Millimeter-by-54.8-Meter Duct Tape for $25.17 shipped. The duct tape comes in either slate blue or red (please follow the appropriate links).

Note: The blue duct tape is listed at $508.14 and the red duct tape is listed at $387.95 at Amazon.com, but the price listing is probably just a mistake. This is still a very good deal though, as I have never seen this type of duct tape before at this price.

Ah, got it! I cannot understand the "l33t speak" sometimes.

the red duct tape you linked to is 72mm wide.

Here's the link to the red 48mm wide version for $16.59

The red 24mm version really does sell for over $300. I assume that's the rip off our government price.

Has anyone used this stuff? I'm tempted to get some to see how it compares to gaffer's tape.

Could this be for a case? I doubt it... but the 'retail price' would make more sense for a case... but still a little high...

Shipping weight doesnt look heavy enough for a case either....

Hmmmmm

Stock number is for a case, but the weight is only 1.6 pounds. If you bought a case from 3M, it works out to ~$15.10 per roll. I think I'll stick with my generic ~$5 silver roll from WalMart

At last I can fix my Flux Capacitor and get the hell out of here.

Does anybody here really knows why some products are rated to be used in nuclear facilities. I'm just wondering because I am familiar with the testing and certification aspect. I do not think that many people know this without taking a peak at google.

I'm more concerned that nuclear facilities are being "fixed" with Duct Tape.
