Probably a typo, this looks like a typical OD Thu-Sat in store deal.
I fixed the typo. The ad was in today's newspaper in Ca. Rebate prints in store.
Got this from OD a month or so ago on another deal. Great budget laptop! Been using it for everything from docs/web to media center for xbox 360.

Just just just now i bought this computer and am using it to post this post. It was 536.41 otd plus a got that 100 mail in rebate. Seems to be a pretty sweet laptop! My attuverse is not Windows ME compatible (which was my old laptops os) So so I went down and picked one of these up! It has blue tooth, dvd/cd rw, 4 usbs, a 5 in 1 card reader, ir port, rj11 jack, clear screen etc etc. great deal so far! I was debating between this and the gateway that was 110 more but had a 15.4 inch screen, 40 gigs of hd space, 1 gig more of ram (2 vs. 3) and os was not athlon but something else. The cool thing about that one was that it had a cool image burner technology on discs after you burn them.

My OD says the same, no rebate.
Apparently as the op indicated it was a local in Calif ad for the $389.99 (to 10/4) AR price.
maybe the deal will move eastward...my OD said it was a clearance laptop..u would think they would match it and would want the sell....
