i don't see any valid $25 off $100 Staples codes so deal gets red instead of green.

edit....OP never mentioned that you need to BUY a Staples coupon so add that to your overall cost. deal is not too bad, but info on how to get it stinks.

I went for the 1tb model. Higher cost per gigabyte than the 750gb model, but I have need of the extra space. The coupon was $3.49 so $149.99 - $30 + $3.49 = $123.48 plus tax.

The title of the thread should be changed to have "mybook" or "my book" in it, I started to post this deal when I saw the Staples ad in the paper. I searched on book and mybook and did not find any listing of the deal, but did check under Stapl3s and found this thread.

I'm so tempted to jump on this, but the mybook essential drives only have a one year warranty and my current mybook essential 400gb died after one and a half years. The other editions seem to have longer warranties, but the increase in price is significant.
