Whats up with the lack of links here folks? STAPLES: Brother Refurbished MFC-240C Flatbed Inkjet All-in-One $49.98 BEST BUY: Brother - Printer/ Copier/ Scanner/ Fax/ PhotoCapture Center $99.99 |
Not to be a downer to all you looking to buy this, but this machine is crap. It eats ink like no tomorrow due to it's constant self-cleaning feature and if you attempt to fax or copy any piece of paper that has a crease in it, it will jam. So, in my opinion, this machine is not worth the money. Also, even if you unplug the machine to save on ink, when you go to plug it back in, it will spend the next several minutes cleaning the cartridges. I own it so I know all about it and I wish I never bought it. |

This was in my Sunday paper's best buy add. I could provide a link to the product at Best Buy: but it will say $99.99 until tomorrow. I agree that refurb's are usually in great shape, but you never know... |

Considering that carts are just $2 or lower (via eeebay), this is not a big issue....This is a great machine, there are a ton of threads for this machine on FW/SD etc. Don't forget to check out the Black Electrical Tape masking trick to get rid of annoying "Empty Ink cart" mesg. For $30 (refurb) or $40 new, this machine is a steal. |

I own this printer and I really like it. You can buy ink cartridges on eBay for cheap - really cheap. Nice to be able to scan, fax and print at a disposable price. |
