Fry's black friday ad is already posted online, but it doesn't work with my dsl connection. Too much bandwidth. I would appreciate it if someone would post a link that works. Got page one, although the image is blurry.

link??? I don't think a Fry's BF ad has ever been released early (and believe me, we looked everywhere for them)...For the past 4 years, we had to go get a paper around 5 in the morning to see the deals...by midnight, there are already 100 people in line...

Fry's should have an ad in the THU paper (in the past, it has been 2 pages), but this does not contain the BF specials that will appear in the Friday paper (which will be an 8 page ad which will look their regular Friday ad)...

I'm gonna pick up Flags of Our Fathers on blu-ray for my step-dad since he's getting a blu-ray player for Christmas, but doesn't have any movies for it. Plus he's a big war movie buff. Thanks OP!

Could the bad deals be pulled out of the original post? The 9500GT for $50 AR and the Maxtor 500GB SATA for $65 are not front page deals at all.

I just don't want anyone to be fooled. Newegg has 500GB drives for $60 shipped often (I even got one last week), and there are MUCH BETTER DEALS than a 9500GT for $50 AR. There are much better cards out there for $50 AR.

Not only that, but the 9500GT was $20 AR just the other day I think on SD frontpage.

I completely agree. The 9500GT is not worth the investment. Recently, better cards like the 8600GTS, 9600GSO, and the Radeon 3850 have all been on sale for under $60 after rebate.

I wouldn't waste my time with any of those cards (except maybe the 3850). For $94 AR you can get a card that will actually play games - the 9800GT. Those other cards are a waste of money.

I wholeheartedly agree...IF you play ALL high-end games. Not everyone does that. I have the 8600GTS and it does a great job for the $29 AR that I paid in September '08, and it plays most high-end games acceptably (not necessarily at the maximum-possible settings). I will pocket that $63 ($94 - $29) + tax to upgrade to a better card later when the prices are surely going to continue to come down, especially in this deteriorating economy. Also, there are other applications that will require a decent card with decent video acceleration. Although the 9500GT does close the gap to a certain degree (side-by-side to the 8500GT benchmark tests) in comparison with the cards I had listed above, it is definitely NOT worth $50. Some do not want to spend $94 after rebate, but want a card that has as many features as possible. Therefore, I mentioned some of the better deals that have come out recently, some being as low as the $20-$40 range.

a 1GB shuffle for $45?!?!?! What an awful deal. I found one for new for $30 on other sites. Really don't want to waste my time for any of these "deals", when they could easily turn around and post better deals after Thanksgiving. This is to lure and pressure you to buy now thinking these are good deals. Makes me wanna puke. No wonder consumer confidence is in the crapper.
