Before I start getting hammered with red, let me start by saying this is a great big YMMV. I haven't even done it yet. As of now, it's more of a theory. See, it's a way I've devised of taking advantage of a Black Friday deal. If I wait til then to post, the opportunity will have already passed. So here it goes...

What we know:
1.) Target will have Dyson DC07 vacuums in stores for $350 w/ $100 gift card on Black Friday.
2.) Target.com has 20% discount going on through live.com CashBack.

The assumption:
Right now, the whole idea is based on the assumption that target.com will drop the price of the vacuum to match their stores. If that doesn't happen, then this whole idea is a bust. However, if it works...

The idea:
1.) Buy the DC07 on target.com using the 20% live.com CashBack (look it up ) to drop the price to $280.
2.) When purchasing, choose in-store pick-up.
3.) Pick-up at the store while the promotion is still ongoing and claim the $100 gift card.

If it all works, then you just got a brand new Dyson DC07 for $180 + tax. If the deal doesn't work, just return it on the spot. No harm, no foul.

Any thoughts on the viability of this plan?

I doubt they will have doorbusters online for the same price. Even if they do they may not offer the card.

Also, they don't allow in-store pickup of their web site items, so you have to pay shipping.

Third, everyone is reporting only receiving 10% CashBack credit instead of 20% right now when they order through live.com.

I doubt this will become a deal.

Well crap... My idea might be over before it begins... I can't seem to find any method of in-store pickup on their website even though I can see if a particular item is in stock. Does anybody have experience with this?
