With all the sub-par GPS deals out there today I decided to finally find a deal on the garmin nuvi 255 that I’ve wanted. This unit has a lot of nice features including TTS, 3D maps, maps for all NA and has great reviews (except for the standard voices which some people complain about). Best Buy has had this unit on sale for a little while now for $169.99. You can find this unit online for ~ $155 at a couple places but most places are $170+. If you remember the Reward Zone $50 off a Garmin gps unit that I haven’t heard a word about in many months now… takes this unit down to $119.99 + taxes. Only available at B&M. As of this morning most stores in my area had at least one or two left in stock but they are going fast (none on display, they are all under the counter or in the back).

Of course if the 255 isn’t top on your list don’t forget the RZ coupon can be used with any garmin GPS even if its on sale…

why's it ymmv - finding the unit or getting the coupon accepted?

Some BBs will take the coupon, some others might not (the coupon says it can't be combined with other offers, but it should go through in the system).

After trying 2 BBs and 2 Office Depots, the last BB I tried took it for my 205W.

Its ymmv on the 255 because supplies are limited at your BM. I was told the unit is no longer stocked but not sure its at "clearance" status yet. I know several people that have used the coupon and no one has ever been denied so I don't think that is much of a problem.

My BB would not take the coupon for the black 205 ($119). They stated that any units in the ad could not use the coupon. I picked up a blue 205 ($149-$50) but then later went back and exchanged it for the 255 ($169-$50). A good deal at $119 although not as sweet as the $69 I was hoping for.

BTW, the 255 is not piano black as stated on the web site, it's more like a metallic dark grey.

Did you guys use the coupon image provided by OP or did you have an original coupon? TIA

does anyone know what the regular price of the 260w/260w refurb is at bb (says 299 but seems high for this model)) Might still be worth it after the tx sale. $159 at buydig for the refurb which im guessing will be less than regular price - $50...

i ordered mine online at $119.00? can i still use the RZ coupon?

Just got back from BB looking for the 205..they had a few 255s so went for that instead...they scanned the coupon, no prob...just took 3 attempts...
