For those looking to work off Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers, take a look at this deal from Sears on this elliptical. My store (Hanes Mall, Winston Salem) only had one in stock besides the floor sample so quantities may be limited at your local store. This unit is more compact than most machines with the flywheel in front so it takes up less space and can be stored easier than those units with a flywheel behind. This item had been on sale for $599.88 for the Friends and Family a week ago -10% for $540. Regular Sears price of $999.99 and Horizon website suggested price of $1199.99. I just purchased one of these today. Had pretty good reviews, so I went to look at it in store. It felt just as sturdy as some of the more expensive models. Sears was selling it in store for $599. I was told the store had 7 in stock. I paid $499 online, used the $10 off a $100 purchase - Coupon Code SAVETEN (exp 11/30/08), and will be getting the 4% Cash Back. Let's hope it lives up to the reviews - I'm going to pick it up tomorrow! |

This looks like a pretty good deal. I'm 6-feet tall, so I need a unit with a stride length of at least 20". This one has an 18" stride. Too bad for me. |

I did see a 5% mail in rebate when purchased with a Sears card to bring the item under $475. An update for those who may be on the fence whether to buy this.... This unit took my wife and I just under an hour to put together from removal from box to plugging into the wall outlet to give it a whirl. The instructions were extremely easy to follow and it came with all tools necessary to realistically put it together. One person could put this together with a little bit more effort. I was surprisingly satisfied with the assembly phase. The unit works terrific. It is quiet enough that one person could be in a nearby room and not know that you're huffing and puffing away on this thing. The unit is solid, the LED controls take a little getting used to for which program you want to select but overall the unit is great. If you're looking to buy one of these you'll be pleased with your purchase. |
