I'm sure lots of people got new HD products this Black Friday so you're probably looking for HDMI cables. Of course Best Buy sells them for like $80 and other retailers for $40+

Meritline.com has THREE 6ft HDMI cables for $8.99 + tax and FREE shipping. I bought these myself and have been using them just fine. There's no difference at all between these $3 cables and $40 ones. It says on the site that the deal price ends today, but even at it's regular price for $12.99 it's an awesome deal.

These do not look to be v1.3 for those whom it is an issue for. You can get a pair of v1.3b for the same price if you need it.

This is incorrect. The difference is often times in the actual awg (guage of wire) that runs through the wire. The link to the product you provided is for 28awg cable. I've noticed that often times, the cheapest deals are for the thinnest wires.

HDMI comes in 22, 24, 26, 28, and even 30 gauges. For short distances like six feet or under, 28 guage or bigger is fine, but if you're going to be running longer cable, I would suggest using a bigger guage hdmi cable. For example, if you need to run 30 feet of hdmi cable, I'd go with either 24awg, or 22awg.

Either way, thanks OP... still a decent deal! =)

I didn't want the 1.2 cables, but Meritline had 2 1.3 6ft. cables for $8.99 shipped. Wouldn't have known about Meritline otherwise. Thanks OP!

For two cables with shipping the Monoprice total shows $11.64. This is better?

Bought a 6ft 1.3 from them last month to connect laptop to big screen. Looks awesome. Best prices I could find.

Yeah I believe there is a different between the $1-$7 cables and higher up ones though.

From what I have learned, youre supposed to buy cables that are in the $7 range or higher. Lower than $7 the cables are supposed to not be that great. I guess youre not supposed to buy cables that are under the $7 mark.

Did you learn that from Bestbuy?

At Best Buy they'd tell you not to buy any cables less than $35.

fyi

hdmi cable doesnt have a Ferrite cores

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=102...

Ferrite cores are great enhancements to any electronic signal tranmission line. These magnetic materials absorb signal interference, reduce signal errors and improve signal integrity. Unfortunately, factory molded on versions for large gauge cables tend to be disproportionately large and interfere with each other in side by side connections. These extremely effective, yet very compact snap-on versions accomplish the same task without getting in the way.

monoprice with Ferrite Cores.
