Amazon has the Panasonic ES8228S for $106.58 - but be sure and use their code PANADEC8 to get $30 off making the final price $76.58 shipped.

This model is similiar but a step up from the Panasonic ES8109S Circuit City had on sale at $79.99 on Black Friday. It has a slightly better foil system, better ergonomics (according to the Electric Razor rap forum), is made in Japan (the 8109 is made in China) and generally sells for $30 to $40 more than the ES8109s

I am returning the 8109 to CC once it arrives and getting this instead

Green to you. Panasonic shavers are far and away the best.
My last one lasted about 7 years without needing any parts, until finally the batteries gave out.
Wish this deal had been around 1.5 months ago, but I'm happy with the 8103s I got.

I have always used the traditional method (lather and blades). Never used an electric shaver. Do I need to get something else to do a "Wet" shave? Or can I use the regular gel or foam? Thanks.

I typically dry shave (have used Norelco's and panasonic's in the past and really like the panasonic's - but mine is on its last legs and needs replaced)

I know you can wet shave with these as well, but I never do so I can't elaborate further on that

I haven't been able to notice a difference using this with a wet face or with shaving gel. If you do either of those, it will smudge the clippings all over your face as opposed to inside the foil. The shaver head can get kind of warm after a while, so that might be one reason to do it.

My Panasonic shaver is great. Never going back. It doesn't shave as close as a traditional blade and shaving cream, but, it cuts down on razor burn.

i 've owned 3 panasonic shavers and the first one was made in japan. that one plus another one broke within a year. sending it for repair wasn't hard, and i'm still sticking with panasonic because it offers the best wet shave. this one is tempting...
