Regular resolution for a 20" monitor is 1600 x 900.

Be honest OP. You rarely can find printable coupon from ejunkie.
thanks to these guys I now think all Staples listings are fake and just and ad to buy their coupons. I watched for months as they listed cameras, monitors and notebooks when the coupons clearly were for furniture.

maybe nowadays, but a year ago 20" monitors were 1680 x 1050 wile 19" were 1440 x 900. I have an older acer 20" with the 1050 resolution.

Ahhh, another case of "That was then..." 16x10 monitors will become increasingly rare as manufacturers focus on lower costs from a single form factor & production line (you've seen the price & rebate differences for a while as they shift focus & inventory). 16x9 is the new black, whether your video card supports it today or not. And yes, that will likely help drive a bunch of video upgrades over the next year or so (until the next new thing arrives).

So outside of the res, there is nothing wrong with this monitor? I was thinking of using it for regular use while switching to my HDTV for games and movies. Should I pick this up or wait for another deal? :/

16x9 can suck on my 8800GT and mine two 16x10 monitors.
Personally I hate how 16x9 is becoming somewhat normal towards the computer monitor/display market, I rather like gaming and browsing at 1680x1050 and wouldn't go any lower (though I am stuck on a 1280x800 for a laptop , still got my two 1680x1050 (E207WFP+SP2009W) ). I would love to get a Ultrasharp soon though.
