According to the local weather forecast guy, Hanna should make landfall somewhere around Charleston and then move up east coast.. It will still be around Category 1 range when it reaches DC and should reach NY/NJ area Sunday morning.

Quit being a wimp, Will be pretty much nothing by the time it hits up here. At least I hope, right on the ocean and my new insurance has a very high deductible if I get damage from a named storm.
Hey there are 2 more behind Hanna headed my way.![]()

Who's fault is that? It's a gamble you took.

Me too, our homeowners insurance covers wind and being on the water we are required (by the mortgage company) to have Flood Insurance.
I'm 7.1 feet above sea level, I hope the storm doesn't come during high tide, it's not the wind I'm THAT concerned about, it's the storm surge.

No, My insurance was canceled last year and no one would insure me for being right on the Ocean. Finally my agent got me a decent policy but has a high deductible if damage cause by a named storm. Not really that worried because the worst damage my area ever received was by unnamed storms like the Blizzard of 78 and the "No Name Storm" in 1991
I'm going to jump on my boat and ride out the storm.
Not funny really, but I saw damage a few years ago from Hurricanes in Florida and aerial views showed collapsed homes but the boats on the dock attached to whips were still secured. It's probably the safest place to be! ![]()

I'm up on a cliff so not worried about storm surge, Just wind. Need to check my policy but I don't think it's really that bad, I think it was something like 5% deductible if damage caused by a named storm
I thought this thread was going to be about Hannah Montana and that KK had sunk to a new low...
Anyone on the East Coast remember Hurricane Gloria? YouTube
I didn't live on the water then, but living in Central Jersey and experiencing 80 mph wind gusts.
