I saw the block bidders thread and I was wondering if there was a way to block bidders that had 0 feedback or who just joined the same day or two? Especially on higher priced items.

My daughter sold two phones recently (they went to $50 and $150) and she has not been able to contact the winning bidders nor has she heard from them. One joined the day of the auction.

Thank you.

The available blocks can be found here. No, you cannot filter bidders based on a 0 feedback score or by date of registration.

funnily enough I haven't seen anyone with negative feedbacks after 5 years of eBay (though I'm not a seller so don't see a lot of transactions), but have seen plenty of "new" users or those with 0 feedbacks. I guess they didn't include that in their bid-blocking system so as to give legitimate new users a chance to start, and you can always sort out problems after the auction has ended but before the item is shipped out. They usually reverse the fees I believe in non paying bidder's cases.
So if you haven't sent out the items yet just file a claim and it should all be good

I run into the same problem and am searching to find a way.

Frankly, I hate buyers with 0 feedback. This year, I sold about 20 phone items (phones, refills, SIM kits...). Six of them were unpaid and all were related to buyers with 0 feedback.
Presently, only "-1" on eBay could be blocked. So I tried to give them "negative" feedback to push them into "-1" category but eBay won't let sellers to leave "native" to buyers. d@mn. What else could I do? I really want to drive buyers with 0 feedback out from eBay.

Out of curiosity, what was your feedback rating when you started on eBay?

$50 is hardly a high value item to block new eBay users, they have to start somewhere anyway.

If someone bids on your auction who you do not like you can cancel their bid and block them. Not much you can do if they win your auction.

Sure you can do something if they win your auction.

You can receive the payment then send them there item.

Chalk up another sale.

If you block all the new bidders how will we get new sales. Is eBay only for people who have used it for years? If you have a problem with anybody not paying, 0 feedback or 1000 feedback, just use the tools available to get your fees back and relist.

I used to put inside each of my auctions that I would not accept bids or buy it now purchases from zero feedback bidder. I kept getting newbies asking me to allow them to buy my stuff. I decided to give it a try and overall I have been pretty happy. Zero feedback buyers tend to pay more than other buyers and when they do pay they tend to pay right away. There are still a higher percentage of zero feedback bidders who do not pay compared to those with feedback. Overall I am happy that I have started excepting newbie bidders/buyers.

There are people who registered multiple times using different Ids and each count as new.
