There is yet to be any alternative thats better than eBay yet and untill one of the big guys goes against them there won't be.
Doesn't have to be better, just something different that people have tried. Example iOffer.com
wensy.com is a free site with no fees for the sellers. Just starting to try this so hopefully it may work out.
Craigslist.org. No fees but you are limited to fixed price format so not strictly an auction site but it is an eBay alternative especially if you would like to sell locally and save money on fees and shipping.
FutureDilemma said:Also, Amazon.com Marketplace. I hate how Amazon.com will show tons of dead and obsolete listings from third party sellers but from the sellers perspective, its a place where they can get great exposure.
I sold 50 things on Amazon marketplace since February without even trying. definately the number 2 site after eBay.
eCrater is pretty cool. It's got easy integration with Google Checkout, and the eCrater side of things is free. Not really an "auction" site though, more like a conglomerate of individual online stores.
I actually sold a item on a site called atomicmall.com. The cool thing about this site is you can import all of your eBay items to it, so you don't have to spend tons of time relisting.
I have 150 items listed on ioffer now with no hits.
eBay gets more sales, even if they are a rip off
there are no 2 ways about it...
i will try this atomicmall.com so far nothing on ioffer
ioffer sucks. I've listed items on there and had people buy. But never paid and I still got stuck with the bill for the sale from ioffer.
I owned a store on eBay and was listing lots of auction items when for no reason after they changed the feedback for buyers I had well over 500 pos feedback one buyer decided to leave me a bad feedback and eBay decided to supend my sales for 30 days the feedback is not right bith buyers and sellers should have a said good or bad and if i sell one item a week somewhere else its alot better then 20 items with all the headaces from eBay
