I sold a cable modem on eBay that I had used for 2 months and was working fine when I last unplugged it and boxed it up.
It has been sitting in a closet for a few weeks and I decided to sell it.
Someone purchased it and I shipped it to him. When he received it, he claims the installation CD was missing (it was present when I packed it up...), and the modem was defective because he can't connect to the internet.
Without question, I offered to replace the modem with a brand new modem for free or refund him in full.
He did not reply to my message and left me negative feedback this morning.
I feel this is unfair. There was no indication this modem was defective because it worked great for me and passed all diagnostic tests before I packed it up to ship. I was willing to resolve the problem, but the buyer did not reply to my message and left negative feedback.
What can I do in this situation? I am frustrated the buyer was not mature enough to talk through the situation and resorted to negative feedback.
