first he won my auction and wanted me mail package to his po box even though my auction stated I can`t because ups won`t ship to po box, he then changes his paypal and eBay addresses from po box to address that ups worker says doesn`t come up in computer, now he wants tracking. I think he is setting me up for a re-route to different address once he get ups tracking number.
any safeguards I should know? I did pay for a adult sig. product is $350 dollars. just smells fishy.

As long as you ship to a confirmed address with signature required, you should be protected.

Geez it sounds like you're paranoid. The way I read it, the buyer is just doing what your asking him to do by changing his Paypal address from a PO Box to a street address.

Ship to "the address on the transaction details page as provided to PayPal by the buyer and get a signature" and you'll be covered by SPP. If he wants it re-routed that doesn't change the original "ship address".

If you're so worried call him on the phone and discuss all this. Does anything in his feedback profile suggest he's a scammer?

P.S. Little things like "Drive" or "Dr." vs "Dr" can throw of the UPS/FedEx computers.

if you are really paranoid, delay replying for a couple of days then give him a tracking # with a typo. When he gets back to you, check the expected delivery date. email him the right # after the item is delivered, and of course apolagize for the typo.

The recipient cannot intercept a UPS package, only the sender. But once delivery has been attempted and customer not available (to sign for a package) a UPS InfoNotice is left the recipient can reschedule the delivery date, arrange to pick up your shipment at a UPS Customer Center, have your shipment delivered to a different address, or return the shipment to the sender.

Personally I'd be pissed if you wanted a signature AND didn't give me a tracking number for the shipment.

I paid for the signature , the shipping was free.

My point is that you'd be forcing me to stay home to sign for the item, but wouldn't tell me *when* the item was going to be delivered.

Or you can just use USPS Priority with Sig Confirmation.

Why would you not give him a tracking number? isn't that the purpose of a tracking number so he can track his shipment?
